If you rearend some body's car on the freeway because of sudden stopped trafic, the cop will give you a misdemeanor citation and you have to appear in court. Does this sound right? Anybody you know that have this happeded to them?

 

The exact same thing just happened to my mom. She did not get a summons to court though. Just got a warning for following too close.
