My buddy has a mk2 jetta coupe with a vr6 turbo. He says there are no piggy back computers for vw's. Is this bullshit or what??????? He says everything is done by a "chip".

yes you buy a 600 hundred dollar chip. WHich comes pre programed and for what engine and what you want out of it. Hp wise.

I'm planning on using an E-manage Ultimate on a VR6 I am about to work on... I don't see why it wouldn't work (it has already been done anyway). You can also check out the Perfect power SMT-6 as well. There are tons of options, but just not popular enough because most guys just put a chip on there for mostly mild setups.

 

You know I thought we could put an emanage on there. I know it doesnt say so in the book but I cant think about why it wouldnt work. It just might take some trial and error and some fried ecu's!


we actually called boomslang to see if they would make a harness and he said we would have to send him the wiring schematics for the vw and some ecu/harness connectors and give him some time and he would think about it. I bet if he does decide to do it it will be a bazillion dollars cause he wont keep making them. If he did there could be a lot of money to be made.
