VW Guy here, need some help.
A friend of mine has a 1998 Acura Integra with a B18b motor, a local kid has a wrecked civic and is trying to sell the motor to him. He claims it's a B18C but it's not VTEC (thought the b18c was vtec no matter what?) I've worked on another friends 1991 ( i think, it's definitely that body style though) integra and the motor looks the same.
Where are the engine code castings found? anyone have pictures? What motor should an early 90's integra have in it ( I think a b16a but I'm not sure). How can you tell the difference between a b16a or b16c?
Thanks in advance for any help. Im currently looking to pick up a civic hatch shell and when my friend gets a new motor for his integra i'll be getting the b18b from it for the civic

edit - well where on the engine block are the codes stamped. can you easily see them with the motor in the car?

Here's a good link with technical info;
http://www.team-integra.net/se...how=5
The block will be stamped to the right of where the tranny and block meet. I did a quick search and this is the best pic I can find;

Open the hood and look down in between the block and radiator. It will be fairly noticeable.
