Not another alarm thread?!
Well this isn't going to be a, what alarm is the best for my car?! thread. It is pretty obvious, I know the good companies and you need to have and trust someone to install it for it to work best. My question is, what alarm out there has the feature of GPS,proximity sensors, tilt, motion etc. All in one. Or am I going to have to buy an alarm like viper and buy cheap sensors from ebay? So is there like combo packages you can get or buy an alarm and hope to god the cheap sensors you buy off ebay will work with your alarm? Thanks guys!
Oh and I dont really care for the engine start, just want a really good alarm with many features like tilt, interior/exterior movement, LONG DISTANCE is a key! Price isnt a factor in this scenario, thanks!

nope, most kits do not have everything in one box. You might find a ebay combo or so but your not getting any warranty on your products. What alarm were you looking at?
The Crutchfield 745i has battery backup, a motion sensor, glass sensor, and a shock sensor. But some of these options aren't as good of quality as just buying a DEI alarm and getting a DEI battery backup, glass breakage, and a Crutchfield or Clifford motion sensor. The Crutchfield battery backup is a 9V battery which goes dead every month or so making it pretty useless. Glass sensor works OK, but not as good as DEI. The Crutchfield AU94T motion sensor works beautifully once it's been set up correctly.
Clifford Avantguard comes with blackjax and a motion sensor, but you need to buy the backup seperately. I haven't tried this alarm yet but it's probably the same as every other high end DEI alarm with some added bonuses.
What is the advantage of buying it all in one box? If you go to Circuit City or Best Buy, you can buy the alarm, battery backup, glass and tilt sensor all at once.

my battery died recently from leaving my lights on
how would that effect my backup battery
is it dead too?
seeing that it probably triggered my alarm because of the voltage drop until it ran out of juice itself...
does it recharge itself when hooked up properly...
