Default Turbo for this or that...

will a turbo kit coming off a B18B(LS) fit on a B18C5(type-R)?

would you put a turbo kit on an automatic LS? with about 140k miles?

IIRC, the turbo kit should fit fine. I believe the LS and the ITR have the same placement for the TB therefore the intercooler pipes should line up. The only thing is that I am not sure if you will have to lengthen or shorthen your exhaust to match up with the exhaust manifold.

Personally I would not turbo an automatic but its your car and your money. Also, there are a few others that have done so, therefore, you are not charting in new territory.

As far as the mileage just make sure your car is in good running condition. Do a compression and leak down test. Also, take care of any maintenance.

i could see it working if you can manage to find a slap shifter for it. a long time ago i was real big into camaros and they were always best supercharged automatic with a slap shift. if you dont know what a slap shift is look up images of a ratchet shifter. they replace the stick on an automatic and allow you to go streight down into drive bump it into neutral than manually hit the shifter up to go through the gears one by one, all the benefits of manual without the clutch. hard part is finding one for a teg AWSOME FOR BRACKET DRAG RACING hated by import owners

The turbo kit will work fine on the B18C5. All Bseries turbo kits will fit on each other.

I wouldnt turbo an automatic. Waste of time and money. We have a guy around here, that has a turbo 98 LS 4dr auto. Last time i saw him at the track he was running 15.5 and 15.4
