Did that once when a valve kissed a piston. Funny thing was the valve train + timing belt was still intact before impact.

yea...it was over rev'd (9.2) becuz my tachometer was wasnt reading ryte...DAMN INDIGLO gauges!......so fucked it.....the head is gone...but the block can still be used...after u sleeve it.....so yea.......i already got a hold of a '99 b16 motor, so i'll have sumthing to drive around in.......thats just to hold me till i do my k20A swap so....its all good

The ecu has a fuel cut to prevent you overreving, unless yours was chipped with no fuel cut, which is incredibly stupid or you downshift accidently and overrev.

yea i was runnin hondata.....LIKE i said....my tachometer was off...it stoped climbin after 7k.....i shifted into 2nd..but i forgot to look at my shift light....cuz i had my eyes on the tach....so it hit max redline...and boom...thats bout it
