Id say 172hp 150tq. You shouldnt have a problem beating festivas, depending on what car your motor is in.

If you want to beat EVOs and STIs your gonna need some top end...thats where those specific cars lack, and so will you if you go with a t25...hybrids are your friend

Don't waste you time with such a ***** turbo, im sure you can reach 200 on that turbo, but that leaves you no room to play with. your better off investing in a t3.

i got this turbo for free. i'm gonna upgrade to a bigger turbo after i have my engine built. plus it's a good way for me to experience turbo cars before i go big on turbo.

the way it sounds, you have a plan, If I were you, I'd go ahead and put it on and call it good. Hey, little turbo but it's also a good learning process.....

why waste $ on this setup while u can wait and save $ for the future setup, i really don't think its necessary to blow $ on a free t25, ur just gonna end up blowing even more $ on changing from setup to setup. Do it right the first time, u don't need a t25 for experience, you're better off doing it right the first time!

Im the person thats in to doing it right the first time. Thats why I have been reseaching turbo's for the past year and in november I started buying parts.

For my imput a t-25 should not even be on a snow blower. Let alone a go-kart. Not to be mean or anything but really free stuff is not always the best to go.

Id rather buy 85% of my parts new than buy something that someone else has used.

If your hearing on here that a d16a6 motor is running out of breath at 6,000 rpm's and there redline is close to 7,000.

Picture it on a b18c1 which is .2 liters more and more cc's. Let alone probably 50 more hp from the factory and redline is just under 8,000rpms, would probably run out of breath before vtec kicked in.

I have a b18c1 im using a t3/to4e. Its a hybrid bushing turbo that I picked up new for $575.

Why cheapen out, an evo costs close to 30,000 dollars and you aspect your car to run an evo out of breath when your using a t-25.

NAh, Just buy a simple t3 turbo and you will have a nice b18c1 that wont run out fo breath.

I hope I helped you decide what is right for your gsr motor.

hmm, i thought about it and having the t25 running out of breath before 5000 rpm doesn't sound too fun, so i think i'm just gonna upgrade to a t3 super 60 or 16g.

Yeah a 16g is good. I thought about doing that on my car before I changed my mind to a t3/t4. The 16g is what most dsm owners upgrade to.

That 16g is the stock turbo for an evo 3. They are very afordable can be picked up for less than 350 dollars, they are internally wastegated, you can still up the boost to about 20 psi. After your motor is built.

Yeah pretty good thinking, go with a 16g, dont worry about what others say about the t3's, if you want a simple turbo setup with no many issues and to learn from before you go with a t3 then the 16g is right for u.
