my starlight black jdm ek9........BUILDUP
Okay,
Well as most of you know it all began about two years ago with my white ej9,at the time i had a huge obsession with the jdm ek civic type r,but at 19 it was way out of my budget and impossible to insure, so haunted down my white civic and was set on building a ek9 replica
After purchasing the car i came to my senses and decided to do something a bit different, to cut a long story short heres how it finished out

I owed the car for about a year and a half and soon got unsettled and anxious for more power!
It was a toss up, pump a lot of money into the civic to transplant it, and never get the money back when i come to resell it, or put my money into a more powerful car that can be sold on in time without suffering a huge loss
So at that i decided to go for this. 1999 integra type r

I owned it for slightly over three months and decided it wasnt the car for me.
I wanted another civic
I wanted my dream car
Every time i went on the forums i saw new threads popping up 'my new ek9' it was annoying me, what made the car so special to me in the first place was its rarity.....so in a sense my 'dream' now seems like just a normal, regular car that you see every day
But at that i wasnt going go give up.
I always loved white cars but to have a unique car i was forced to negotiate the colour.
After countless hours of translating japanese websites, sitting on online car auctions, and researching shipping and sva laws, i was all set to make my purchase...........then,
This car came up, it was the one!
Previously owned by robbyp on this forum
Rare colour and in absolutely prisitine condition, origional floor mats, everything!

I want to go mad on this car but i know i have to keep it original to a certain extent.
Everyone is ranting on jdm this, jdm that,
I want to build something which is tasteful, and staying true to the cars idenity,
Recently i've been inspired by the styles in america. so as my project progresses i'm sure you'll see these infuences become the soul and personality of my build.
So far i havent done much, i took off the induction kit and fitted my oem airbox, lowered it alot more
and got a set of oem wind deflecters for it. also got my p/s removal kit from ghris_gee!
Just ordered a spoon n1 exhaust aswell.
Heres the spec at the minute
Fujitsubo Manifold.
Fujitsubo cat back exhaust system.
HKS Hiper Max 2 coilovers,
HKS oil and water caps,
Spoon plugs,
Spoon leads,
Spoon thermostat,
Spoon drop in filter,
Spoon rear upper strut brace,
Reddot 6 slot front discs,
EBC Pads front,
De cat pipe,
fidenza lightened fly wheel,
fidenza paddle clutch,
Air con removed,
Oem wind visors.
The pics.........

I could begin to tell you future plans for the car but there is no point , as i have nothing set in stone as for what i'm doing to the car, parts wise, just what ever feels right at the time i will buy
So many things on my shopping list
So little money at the minute
I'll keep this updated as often as i can,
thanks

dont know to be honest, just didnt like the feel of it or sumthing, lol. also it the uk they are talking about stopping people importing cars directly from japan, i always wanted an ek9 so i couldnt pass this one up, as i might not have another oppertunity to buy one.
and if the integra was a jdm spec one i probably wouldnt have sold it, just went off the uk/us front end after i bought the car,lol
