What would you suggest an imported gsr motor from japan, or would you suggest buying a remanfactured or rebuilt one from here in the states?

 

depends on what you want and your budget.
look around at what other poeple have done to their cars and ask how they like it and how much $ they have in their cars. if you have a ls integra look into ls turbo
or lsvtec if you are on a tighter budget.

Ls vtec/ Ls vtec turbo will probably cost more in the long run....considering you'll most likely blow it up and have to do the good old "blow up, rinse, repeat". Get the JDM GSR. Rebuilt motors are kinda....ehhh. Depends on who did the rebuilding...and usually its not too reputable. The JDM motor was put together by honda with genuine honda internals and probably has low mileage.

 

If you know how to build a motor nothing should blow up. motors from the other side of the world scares me more. But to each his own.
