Default Window Visors for Ef. differences so we can add to EF stickie.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1678612

this is the only thread i was able to find with reasonable amount of information. im trying to gather information on the visors. i couldnt find any thread with enough info to ask one of the mods to add it to the ef stickie thread with the EF info. please help me compile some info on this as much as we can. 89-91 door mounted seat belts vs 88-89. crx vs ef9. jdm vs. usdm or knock offs. power folding vs non power folding = shorter, longer, acute arch or vice versa. difference in clearence . can non power folding be rigged to power folding?

all help willl be greatly appreciated so we can add this to our info thread and finally get some good answers. thank you for your help in advance.

crx with power folding mirrors are abit shorter than non power folding mirrors (cdm anyways... we dont have door mounted seatbelts) by about 1/2" to 3/4"

edit: or maybe i got the non power folding mirror ones made for the usdm with the door mounted seatbelts. anyone have part #'s on them?

THANK you for your input. this brings up another question. i have ef9 visors (supposedly according to the add from the site i got them from) and the visor is like around and inch or two bigger. whats up with that. i got usdm mirrorrs but it shouldnt be that much different. also, im someone has a diagram on how to install the visors, ill greatly appreciate it. if u guys help me out with some more info, ill make a diagram or spreadsheet of the data including parts #'s to help us all out. any input is good. if u can measure ur current visors and give me specs that helps out aswell anything. lets make this thing legit instead up "maybes". thanks again for ur time

small installation write up. too bad it only explains about the 88-89 being a little different then the ones on the 90-91 windows on the crx. something about the curve being a little different.

at the end i will modify the initial post to show all links. ive seen many threads guys with no responses. others dont even ask cus theyre afraid of looking stupid or something. lets end this with this thread and then we can direct any visor questions to this thread in the future for noobs. . if u guys have a link that says something, just shoot it to me, ill read it and extract the info. just at least direct me to the right direction.

YEAH... oem approved tape, not oem visors. im not the only one interested. ive seen a few wtb threads for original sun visors. i know many dont care, but just because many dont care about AWD on crx means where not going to help figure it out for them. thats the whole reason for a thread. i dont come dissin ppl here who like to install bumper poles just cus its not my thing. if i got an input ill give it to them and i wont bash em for it. taking all into consideration, i still appreciate ur post cus u even gave me some useful information although u thought giving info was retarded. u let everyone watching this thread know that the link u gave is misrepresenting themselves trying to sell oem (3m tape) making it seem like if the visors are oem jspec. also, if no one cared then how come i have 100+ views...... to look out for a train reck? no my friend., ur time was still not in vain, at least u gave me something to talk about (which is what im doing by posting here) and allowing me to kill some time at work. thanks again

88-89 doors are the same as EF doors becasue the both have piller mountes seat belts.
This means that that lil black plastic piece on the edge of the door is slimmer on 88-89 and Ef doors because they do not have the seat belts mounted on the doors.
Which would mean that the 88-89 and EF doors are a tad longer. Which is probably why the Visors won't work on you 90-91 doors.
If you really want to use door visors Weathermate or something like that makes some for 90-91 doors (PM Lost Is Black because he has a set on his car) for information on that paryicular brand
Hope that helps

thanks. i have the 90-91 so mine would be the longest, but why does the curve match my sunvisor but its still like and inch or 2 longer then my door?

edit:, got it. 88-89 equals longer doors equals longer visors. 90-91 equals shorter doors, equals shorter visors. thank you.
