Would a SOHC ZC head make a difference on a d16a6 block????

Default Would a SOHC ZC head make a difference on a d16a6 block????

Read the title. some dude was gonna sell me a sohc zc head. would there be a hp gain if i put it on my a6?

Exact same head, the difference is in the camshaft. So no sir.

If it is a complete SOHC ZC head, then yes, you will see a difference. If your using the A6 cam, then no.

Or just make it easier and swap the cam.

yeah that little cam gives you an extra 10hp or something like that. I had a zc
engine and it was pretty quick for being stock 1.6

depends on WHAT sohc zc.

mpfi or carbed?

The ZC(sohc) and A6 blocks are almost identical. The head in the ZC(sohc, mpfi) had a more aggressive cam, and I think it must have had a different fuel mapping in the ECU (someone should know this for sure)

If the ZC head is in better shape than your A6 head, then swap the heads. If its not in better shape, then swap the cam over instead.
