New pics of the R! J's racing intake and semi gutted interior
In case anyone ever wondered what a J's Racing intake looked like on a DC2, well here it is! I'll upload a crappy video of what it sounds like too if anyone is interested. I ordered a test pipe as well for it, but for some reason european ITR's come with a different header set-up and no 02 sensor on the cat so it didn't fit. Hoping to get er ready for nurburgring again in april. There's a little bit of west virginia engineering going on in the engine bay, 5$ to anyone who can spot it out!

you all win 5$ !!! All we had was AAA Duracells and they fit like magic. I think I got about 5 extra horse because they're copper tops
Why does this Type R have sound deadening in the back??
I was almost 100% positive that ITRs did NOT come with any sound deadening in the back or front....or is it even real?

It's the european version, when we were gutting it and stuff this weekend we were all pretty suprised, the headers are different, the exhaust is different, there's different seat brackets, but it's still an R!

I too just installed a J's CF intake. IT SOUNDS AWESOME. It has a way deeper tone to it then the short ram it replaced. It also feels a bit torquier (sp?) and throttle response is great. I like your MM engineered strut brace shield (MM = Mickey Mouse). I was thinking about using a bit of stick on neoprene or something.
Suggestion for those using the J's intake. Take a piece of 1 and 1/4" rubber hose and cut you a 3" section. Then slice down the side, unravel then wrap around the strut bar. Problem solved!!!
The the OP. Do you know where can I buy a OEM type R recaro seat here in Germany? If you somebody or anywhere selling it. I want to replace my USDM ITR seat. Thanks
