Whenever i hit the brakes my car would shake on the front driver side. I knew it wouldnt be too hard to diagnose the problem, i thought either the rotor was warped the pads were bad or the bearing was bad. I just had the bearing replaced so it wasnt that, so i decided to try to replace my brake pads the other day but when i was doing so i noticed that the threads on the caliper mounting bracket were stripped out completely. So the caliper not being secured properly was definately a big problem. So basically i need a new caliper mounting bracket, everywhere i look i would have to buy the entire caliper just to get the caliper mounting bracket. I Just need the mounting bracket. Im wondering if the caliper mounting bracket is interchangeable with another bracket from another car like a civic coupe ex or a civic hatch si, or something. If there is anything like that let me know, cause i would much rather pay $10 going to the junkyard to get the mounting bracket itself than paying 200 for an entire new caliper. Let me know thnx

 

you should easily be able to find a used caliper on ebay for < $15. I see them on there all the time.
