I'm wondering about the turnout for this event. I plan on attending on Saturday to take a bunch of pics and watch a few different races.

Anyone here entering Honda Challenge or another NASA race class that day? I'd like to know who to photograph.

 

From what I've heard there will be a full grid of regulars with plenty of new guys & renters.

 

We're bringing 3 total H4 cars from AZ.

I'll be there, most likely in my ugly yellow/black #33 integra, but at some point soon it will become the much better looking charcoal/red #02 integra. I'm still deciding on whether or not it's total idiocy to attempt painting this weekend when I have to leave for the event next Friday.

Erik Woods (Woody55) will also be there in his red DC integra and Scott Rutledge will be there in his red EG civic hatch last I heard.

Unfortunately, the NV guys will miss this one, but we've been talking to them about potentially all getting together at BW in April, so we'll see how that goes.

I would have liked to run HPDE again this year, but funds are tight so I probably will only make it out there to watch one of the days.

I missed last year too, but I'm pretty happy I did with all the rain they had!! Azenis + rivers running across the track = not fun.

I'm still waiting to hear also, but I think we'll be out there either way. That is, if either/both of us can figure out how to afford 2 CA trips in 2 months (Erik and I that is). It's also still up in the air as to whether either of the NV guys can get their cars ready in time, so we'll see.

 

imma try to go but my cars not ready for the track yet....i heard there is quite a few cars for the nasa grid. Should be a fun day.

It looks like all the stars are in alignment for this sometimes SCCA guy to be able to finally run a HC event with you NASA boys.......

 

I wish Texas had more turn out for Honda Challenge or just more Honda/Acuras at the track to begin with. I envy the Honda community that the West and East coasts have.

I'll be running in the HPDE 3 for both days.

There is going to be at least 5 other friends of mine coming from the Santa barbara area. various cars and classes. I can't wait to run my car again. last year I missed driving since i was crewing for a friends race team. still fun but driving is where its at.

Welp ... turns out I'll be in the shiny black/red integra (instead of ugly yellow/black) afterall. It seems that there are no bounds to my idiotic impulsiveness, so I took the car apart and painted it this weekend even though I have to leave Thursday. I throw more details in a new paint gloat (ala Thawley) thread with pictures this week. Someone please take pics of my car while I'm there so I'll be able to update my sig. I never even changed it to the integra cause I always thought this car was ugly. Finally, it feels like my car.

Awesome Andy. Are you going to be running H1 in the civic that you had out here (in AZ) last year? I saw the new livery on for the 25 hr and it looks great. Is Bernardo driving the HASPORT teg again this year? See you out there.

Not to speak for andy but his civic is well mia, the other civics you're reffering too are either honda r and d cars, or a PDQ Motorsports car, bernardo will be in the teg

last i talked to andy he said that he was going to be doing some stuff to his gold crx and race that this year. the old motegi si went back to honda as far as i know.
