Default few pics of my keyless on my hb

well here few pics of my keyless entry on my ef9. so far its really nice to walk up and not pull the key out and unlock the thing.im geting ready to paint the car soon and hope this will take care of alot of the keymarks that seem to happen.kinda sucked puting them in and the hardest part was runing the wire in the loom from the door to the car.

here are the crapy key marks over the years cant wait to paint it

thats the best place i could mount the actuator and it worked really well. every were else i mounted them it rubbed when i put the door panel back on.

holy key marks bat man!! looks good, but too much work for me. i dont really have a problem with missing the hole...lol so ill stay stock for now. they make those clear key guards too which would be easier for me if i didnt have trouble. im no wiring guru thats what gets me. props though!

well only thing hard for me was taking and runing the wire though the loom, i took my dash out to do this and reran alot of wires for my system and vtec controller.you can get away from taking out the dash to do this, but i mounted the keyless box in the middle by the windsheild and ran the antanea wire across the top of the dash and i can unlock it from faraway.at first i couldnt find a good spot to mount the actuator every were the panel stuck out or were you screw down the clap to the door lock rod. best way i could come with is there and it works well and lock and unlock noprob.so now that you know were you can mount it, it wouldnt take long, i could do a whole setup now in about 2 hrs.but to me runing the wire sucked, i got the handels on ebay about a year ago and heres a link were i bought the actuator http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1

also dont know what kind of keyless system you use but heres a lil info if you got to wire up resistors http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/pdf/actuator.htm
some systems they got them built in

to change the handles its 2 10mm bolts and remove a clip from the locking rod.

ive been wanting to do a mod like this for a while now, as my driver door lock is broken. It sucks having to go through the pass door everytime to unlock my drivers side door.

what eles are you using in this setup? Remotes and ect...

Any write ups of a proper way of doing this? I'm quite interested, but I take it that you need a good alarm to pull it off well.

did i say i was a thief? i just said i can easily break into my car because iv had to do it before. coat hanger between the door and the weather stripping on the side.. put up the lock and your in.. so keyless entry doesnt really do anything security wise.. sure a thief might not want to bother cuz its harder but they will always find a way to get in.

most honda thievess use old civic keys or jigglers,,thats a fact..

alot of honda theifs stick a screwdriver under the door handle to push the lock rod and open the door..but with his theyre are no more rods so nothing back there to push or slim jim..

so even though they can still break the window or push down the glass and stick something in there this is still a detterent and will stop amatuers (kids and druggies)

edit did you remove the lock rod in the doors?? if not you should as there is no need for them anymore and they could still stick the screwdriver in there and open the door

using a coat hanger causes less damage.. but i gues thiefs dont really care. they just want in as fast as they can.

Seriously, anyone who does this mod without removing the lock rods deserves to get their car stolen.

Looks good - I did this years ago, and it does make a nice difference, both in looks and everyday use.
