Alarm install problem :/
Ok I am installing a viper alarm system on my integra I just got. I found the wiring hookups in the sticky, and searched to find something that may explain my problem, but no luck
I hooked the door switch -, constant 12v, parking light +, have the ground for the alarm, the ground for the siren, the siren on the brown wire to the brain, antenna, etc all hooked up.
When I press the arm button the parking lights flash VERY fast and dont light up too well. The LED then turns on and blinks. When I press the disarm the lights again flash very fast but only ONCE. At first I thought the gauge wire was too small, so I upped it up real quick and still nothing.
Also the siren is not going off or chirping. I am thinking there is not enough juice, but I even ran a extra jumper wire direct from the battery and still no luck.
I'm wondering if its the 12v source, the page told me to use the first male connector on the left side of the fuse box..
I think I had this problem before, I have installed this alarm about 3 times now, I tested both of my sirens also.
If anything rings a bell I would really appreciate to hear

there was bolt behind the center console that seemed like it was pretty good I went off of. I shoulda ran a jumper on the ground to battery ground.
Thats probally what it is
Its at work right now so I cant check it out until tomorrow.
Thank you!

was the ground, thanks a bunch
got it fully installed, everything stealthed away for now and my extra wires ready for all the options
I am going to hook up the dome light supervision wire for the alarm to the white light in the hatch for when that is opened. I lost my old hood switch, but I purchased 5 of them out of a electronics dealer we do business with at work, so that will be the new addition to all of our cars.
Once I get alittle more time I am going to hook up the backup battery to the alarm, a relay to trigger when the main battery is disconnected, starter kill (I got alil lazy and didnt do that yet, this weekend though
)
Also most likely fuel injector, and main relay kill switches, and secondary siren in the interior.

domelight supervision is an output not input, if you want to cover your trunk you have to tie it in with the hood pin wire, the supervision wire is for when you disarm the alarm it will light your domelight so you can pretend your integra is really a highend luxury car lol
oh :/
Or I guess I could tap into the door trigger wire also, I am sure the wire to the back runs somewhere on that left side.
thanks for pointing that out lol
