Default Accord Cruise Control Question

My cruise control is not working. I have a 2003 Honda Accord, and every time I try and turn the cruise on, it flashes the "all green" cruise set light and then it goes out. Does anyone have an idea as to why my car is doing this?

Default Re: Accord Cruise Control Question (commoncents100)

Could be a few things. Does the horn work? If it does, the first thing I would check would be the brake pedal position switch. If you have a manual tranny, there is a position switch for the clutch pedal too. If you push the cruise button while you are pressing on the brake pedal, does the light do the same thing? If this makes the same thing happen, let me know, and we will go from there. Good luck.
