is it safe to use one wrench to remove outer tie rod?
I cannot break loose the jam nut from the outer TR
I have been trying the 2 wrench method but no success
is it ok to put the TR back in the knuckle and use both hands on the wrench to move the jam nut?

got it loose
soaked in it seafoam's pent oil for about an hour.
then propped a wrench on the LCA to hold the TR and
got in front of the car (i am doing the pass/right side) and shoved with my foot on
the wrench hanging from the jam nut
as hard as I could (almost) and it gave way.
I got the TR swapped now, gonna test drive now and will put up a picture book later

that jam nut definately is a bitch.
but a regular 22mm wrench will take care of it. i do support the outer tie rod in place with some 19mm wrench propped against the swaybar or control arm to keep it in position so youre not binding the outer balljoint.
well glad to hear you go it done. btw, EG's use a 19mm jamnut. find some at the junkyard and replace them if you can.
if youve swapped the tie rod, you REALLY MUST get an alignment. or say bye to your tires. eyeballing isnt enough.
at the least, i only owrk on one side at a time, then adjust the side i replaced by test driving it until its as straight as it drove before so i at least have a good reference as to what "straight" was by the other, untouched side.
