Default AEM CAI and GReddy EVO

Lo peeps. New here, from the UK.

One of the better forums. Sorry to hear bout all the fugging thieves, we don`t have that problem. (Fortunatly)

I own a 2000 UKDM Integra Type-R, and is stock atm.

HOWEVER, i`ve got an AEM CAI and GReddy EVO exhaust on order, should be here in about a week.

Has anyone got either/both of these on their cars, and if so do you have pictures/fitting instructions/sounds etc?

Cheers for your help.

Chris.

i used to have that EXACT setup. be prepared it is LOUD as hell. install is real easy. the exhaust is pretty much unbolting the stock axleback and pipe and bolting on the greddy. the AEM is pretty simple as well, don remove your front bumper it isn't necessary. just remove the plastic fender wall lining and remove the resonator and of course the airbox and intake arm. twist and turn and fit the AEM right in. the evo is was waay too loud for me, my friends would hear me from 3 blocks away.

I actually have that set-up right now, at x-over it WAILS but in a good way, nice and deep sounding, idle isnt as loud as alot of exhausts ive heard and it doesnt have the annoying 4 banger lawnmower sound to it. i really like it. but i like the low rumble as opposed to the high pitched kinda sound.

Install was fairly simple, AEM was actually harder than exhaust just cause you gotta pull the fender well cover and blah blah blah. but it was still easy too.

If you plan on owning your R for a while, pick up a service manual from http://www.helminc.com . (If you haven't done already.) The manual makes just about any job into a simple task. Cheers

Hehehe, with an AEM intake, the EVO is not that loud, but all hell breaks loose when you decide to get a header. It is frikken loud with the I/H/E combination

hey, i had same setup before s/c... the evo is basic "unbolt" "bolt"... make sure that the heat shield is bent away from everything, cuz last time i had a "rattling" sound everytime i shifted gears ... as for the aem cai, u will probably have to take off front bumper, i did.. its not too complicated either tho... just follow instructions and good luck!!

I heard the Greddy EVO on a 5th gen Prelude tonite and damn it's LOUD! Noticably louder than my SP. My SP sounds way nicer.
