A while back i read somethin about a IM gasket that was supposed to drop temps a considerable amount. I have forgotten what it was.......if someone could either point me to the old post or post up what it was and what actual kind of temp drops people have seen.

ahhh.. i gotcha. well.. the hondata heatshield gasket is only like 50-60 bucks and is an exact fit. IMO it would be alot easier to get theirs than try to make one on your own.

 

I'll bet the Hondata gasket is made by a Mustang parts maker, like Trick Flow.

 

Hondata told me that its made from a nylon plastic.Thers another company that makes then from phenolic like the way the old V8's have.
