Honda S2000 Antenna on a Honda Accord?
Since my antenna on my 1995 Honda Accord EX has not been going down for the past few years because of the antenna motor crapping out on me, would it be possible to just remove the whole metal antenna and motor that raises and lowers the anrenna and put a nice, small S2000 antenna in place of the old one? Or does anyone suggest something else instead? I'm just sick of the big metal antenna being up all the time and not able to go down, it just looks ugly.
you can install a smaller S2000 antenna or just an after market stubby antenna...they do look a lot better....however, the antenna will not be as effective b/c of the shorter length...Honda compensates for this by attaching a antenna signal amplifier after the S2000 antenna (an original Honda signal amp is very expen$ive)...
I suggest you get an after market signal amplifier from any car audio store, they have about 15db amplification and should do the job!...cost me about $30CAD
here's a picture of the signal amplifier I installed in my car along with a stubby antenna.
Have fun

Thanks for the help dude
I actually found a site that I may get an antenna from: http://www.antennax.com/
I was thinking the euro style for the Honda Accord would look decent on my Accord. Do you think I would still need that signal amplifier once I install the new antenna though? The new antenna is not a power antenna.

I am not sure what the euro style Honda Accord antenna looks like...if it maintains the original length, u should get a good enough signal...if its shorter...u'll be able to tell...
anyways, check how it works, and if u need a signal amp, get it later...
no need spending money if it works fine

Well the Euro style antenna I want is approx. 13 inches long. But, I'll deffinitley install it once I get it and go from there.
But, thanks for the input anyways man!
