Default LSD for base '05 RSX?

My RSX is slow. It always has been, and probably always will be. For the most part, it serves as my commuter car between home and school, so I don't really need any real speed or power out of it.

However, I do take it onto the autocross track from time to time, and occasionally gett a little 'spirited' on the road. I feel like it has potential to handle a LOT better than it does right now. My car's been absolutely stock for about 2 years now, and I'm thinking of some very light modifications, like a relatively inexpensive A-spec suspension upgrade, front & rear swaybars, and front & rear strut bars.

I came across an auction for a Quaife LSD on ebay at a reasonable price. I know Quaifes are pretty heavy duty, and I doubt I'd ever really need it, and I don't really want to drop $950 on it. I know the '06 Civic Si has an LSD, so basically, this very long post has been leading up to a very simple question: Will the '06 Civic Si LSD bolt onto an RSX?

not 100% sure on 5spd tranny

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1423362

maybe you can pic up a used cheaper
http://www.autotech.com/quaife/index2.htm

RSX / RSX-S (DC5) (5 or 6-speed M/T) 60.309.190 $995.00

given that the part # is the same for 5/6 spd from quaife, maye the SI will work

It will. The only difference between the 5 and 6 speed is the extra gear and the gear ratios

not sure if it will. I dont think it will however.

if you want better handling also think about going lower than the aspec suspension.

If you are not sure, then why post? Also, going 'low' does not help the RSX to handle better. Proper swaybars, shocks, camber and springs makes a good handling RSX, not one that's slammed.

The diff from the '06+ Si will fit. It's one of the options I'm considering for my own EP.
