brakes
I want to get SS brake lines. GSR brakes front and back. What kind of SS brake lines and where can I get them from? Also where can I get the gsr front and rear brakes with master cylinder , brake booster, and prop valve ( non abs ) ?
Thanks
Thanks
For the Brakes got to one of the already listed or you can get them from www.hybridautomotive.com which is where mine came from.
As for the SS lines I got mine from Summit Racing. They are the Goodridge lines. You can also get them from www.speedtoys.com they sell Porterfield stuff.

rather than going with gsr brakes, i would go with prelude vtec rotors with itr calipers for the fronts. bigger rotors with bigger calipers. all u have to do is drill the prelude rotors into a 4 by 100 bolt pattern. i have been using this setup for a couple of years now and there is no sign of cracking on the rotor whatsoever. the braking power is incredible. u don't even need to swap the rear brakes into disc if your rears are the drum type.
In my opinion that is too much braking power. Yes you can stop on a dime, but I can stop on a dime with my current setup.
GSR Fronts with Porterfield Slotted and Cryotreated Rotors and Goodridge SS lines with Porterfield R4S Pads. Si Rears with SS lines. (You can get away with even just drums in the rear too. Just ask MikeY on Hybrid Board, He is well repected as a very skilled track driver and uses GSR fronts with Stock Drums on his 94 EG w/ B18C1. He ran in the Pro class at Buttonwillow for the Hybrids.JP track day and had no problems running with the guys with 5 lugs and TypeRs) I have tracked on open and tight tracks and have not had any braking problems. I am running a B18C5 in an EG with Full interior weight is 2120 lbs with me in drivers seat and near full tank of gas.
Why add so much weight with big brakes that are not required/ Needed??
Truth is if you are a skilled driver you do not need huge brakes, you just need good brakes that apply to your setup.
Thats my 2 cents and a lil more.
