Is it just a bad blower motor or resistor or both?? If it could be either one how do I check to see which one?

91 accord lx

Thanks!

Look in the manual if you have it, I'm sure it tells you how to test the resistor. Or you could just test to make sure there's power to the blower motor and that the ground is good. If those are present, then the blower motor is probably bad.

it could be the motor. If the resistor is broken, the fan will always work on high speed. High speed is 12.0v, the resistor is for 1,2,3 which have less voltage, which makes the fan turn slower, so when the resistor burns out, it will always work on high. If you turn the fan on and dont hear anything, remove it and see if anything is stuck in the blades. If the fan spins, and you have no air, check for clogs in the ducts, and make sure that all the pivots on the doors move free allowing the air to flow.

Well it looks like its the motor. I have the glove box off and can see that the fan doesnt run at all.

I've followed all the steps in the manual to remove the blower assembly so I can remove the motor but I can't get the assembly out. Is there any tricks to getting it out or do I just have to force it out. It moves freely as if it should come out but the part of the dash and the evaporator assembly are in the way. What should I do?

Just remove the sheet metal clamp holding the coil and blower boxes together.
Then unbolt the blower box with 10mm socket. The blower assembly should come out.
Don't forget to unplug the wiring harness plugs.
