Default JDM civic center cosole question

can i put a dual din stereo in the jdm center console for the eg and make it look alright? it looks like if i got one that the trim ring for the cd player wouldn't go around it or is it smaller than the single din pockets? i have two single dins in my center console and they don't go all the way to the endge of the console so i can actually take mine out without them even touching the console

It's not a JDM console, it's just a audio console. If it was JDM it wouldn't fit correctly in your car. It is made for a single din and a small pocket. If you want to use a double din your going to have to modify it.

I just bought a double DIN CRV 6-disc in-dash changer that I will be installing into the audio console. I will let you know how it goes.

far from a ricer son. i find it very interesting that you keep telling me i don't have an eg. be sure to check your ricer facts that all 92-95 sedans are considered a eg even in the us market i'll take a picture of my oem vin tag if i have to. but besides that i went ahead and checked just to be funny, for the hell of it, sure enough there is a post by you called ek fogs on a eg...this whole time you have been making a big deal by saying you don't own a eg blah blah blah and you yourself referred to it as an eg what probably happened is some usual honda-tech member who thinks he knows everything in the world about hondas told you what someone else has told him which was wrong as usual and now your angry and are trying to pass it on.

ok guys lets grow up here...

from what ive read, people have had some fitment issues puttin in a double din (clearence in the back) and they have had to cut away some of the dash support on the bottom for it to fit in all the way.

I just chopped off the rear frame of the audio console, and that's with the double DIN CD changer (I guess it's deeper). However, if you were to put in two single DIN radios, you won't have to chop off the rear frame.

I bought a Civic radio harness and the CRV radio's reverse harness, soldered them together, then it was plug and play.

That's incorrect. EX sedans have an EH9 chassis code.

yeah i forgot about the ex 4 door but they are not common. plus the cx vx and dx hatches are eh2's but you don't ever hear people telling them what there car isn't. hell hatch si's are actually eh3's but everybody knows what they mean just there is always someone who wants to talk like they know.

Yeah, with the XM ready CRV radios, you can hook up an ipod to the aux jack. 30GB FTW.
