you don't need that tool to align and install your clutch, you can do it manually.all you have to do is put the disc on and the pressure plate on at the same time, and put on all the bolts, but don't tight them hard, so you can move the clutch disc around with your fingers, and all you have to do is look into the hole, and just center the clutch disc hole with the hole where the tool would go into.it doesn't have to be perfect, just as long as you center the clutch disc hole with the hole in the motor.once it looks centered, just tighten up all the bolts and you should be fine.you'll find out if you did it right when you set the transmission into place, because it will just slide into that hole where the clutch disc is line up with the hole in the motor, and your set. guaranteed to work , that's how I've done several clutches, because alot of the alignment tools you buy at the stores , wont fit into the hole, so don't waste your time buying one. all you need to do is make sure you center the clutch disc hole, with the hole in the motor. Its easier to look at the center if you tilt the motor, so you can look at it directly down into the hole, and making sure it looks center.. good luck, if you need any more help, just pm me. latez

all the tool does is line up the clutch disc so you dont have to hold it in place so you can tighten the pressure plate.so you dont need the tool. you can use your finger to hold the disc while you tighten the pressure plate. unless you have done over 40 swaps ,which i have , then you can tell me what is possible, and what is not...
.. even if you use the tool that doesn't line up the groves on the clutch disc with the spline of the tranny , you would still need to move the tranny side to side to make the spline slide into the groves of the clutch disc.
