Help with Honda Code 730
Hello Everone,
I have a 1998 Honda Civic with an automatic transmission it has a 1.5ltr engine. I went to the mechanic due to the engine light being on and found out that my car was giving off a 730 code. Does anyone know what this means? Do you know where I can get a manual or some information in fixing this? Thanks.

P0730 is related to the automatic transmission sensors, more specifically the linear solenoid being fouled or clogged. Does your transmission feel like it's shifting harshly?
Hey Eran,
Yes the transmission does feel like it's shifting harshly. How do I locate it and how do I fix it? I don't have a manual so I"m a little in the dark. Thanks.

Well, one thing you should do is flush your transmission.
Drain your transmission, and fill it back up to spec with cheap 10w30 motor oil. Run it for 5 minutes, and then shut it off. Drain it, and then fill it again with 10w30. Run it for 5 minutes, and then drain again. Fill back up with Honda ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid). Replace your linear solenoid.
