Default easiest power, cams and gears, sc, or tc?

Hi im kind of new to honda civics but ive been doing my research and i was wondering what would be the easiest to do. up until now ive only done basic bolt ons i/h/e. Im not looking for the most power but just the easiest diy power. I have a 92 honda civic vx with a b16a 2 from a usdm 99 si. its got about 70k on the engine. and ive got a p28 ecu right now. ive got about 4 honda builder books that ive read multiple times with cam how to info. I would just like to know everyone's opinion on whats the easiest and the most difficult. cams and cam gears, supercharger, or turbocharger. Like I said im not looking for alot of power because its needed in my tiny town. to give you an example ive got a 2.2ltr ecotec sunfire with just i/h/e and its one of the 5 most impressive cars in my town of 4k people ha.

i say turbo charge is better. imo.

for boost gsr cams are good but if you get your hands on itr cams they make more power tuned

Installing a reasonable, relatively low-boost turbo and chipping/dyno-tuning your P28 would probably be the simplest means to significant power increases.

if i go the low boost turbo route, should i buy a name brand kit or just ebay kit with a name brand snail? would u say the low boost turbo is easier than the cams and gears to do? i know itll be more power but i only need about 200 hp to the crank. not looking for much

To be honest, I have no personal experience with the eBay turbo kits, but nearly every account I've read indicates that they should be avoided. Brand-name turbo kits are nice because of the "all-in-one" simplicity they offer over piecing together your own, but they are often more expensive and don't necessarily include top-shelf components. For a mild setup, a kit would work fine, though if you're feeling ambitious you can assemble your own.

That being said, I'm a little hung up on the term "easier". By easier, do you mean cheaper, less time consuming, less complicated to install, or something else entirely?

ITR cams FTW. Get 2000 or 2001 ones if you can. That keeps it stock parts.

Edlebrock if you go turbo kit route.

Check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com as well.

S2S2 cams are ok I hear. I run ITR 2001 cams myself. Be sure to upgrade to dual valve springs while you are at it.

by easiest i mean simplist least time comsuming least labor. i was thinking skunk 2 or crower cams. maybe itr. price isn't a big concern of mine. i havent seen any votes for the sc. should i assume that is the most complex installation of the group then?

Mild cams are quite "easy" to install, but won't provide the gains that a turbo setup would. A turbo kit is not a very complicated installation, just more time-consuming. A supercharger is a bit less involved than a turbo as far as installation goes, but good tuning will be key to extracting the most power and reliability from any of the options you choose.

so would u guys rate it 1. stage 1 camshafts and gears?, 2. supercharger, 3 turbo? i know that stage 1 cams and some adjustable cam gears wont get me nearly as much hp. but my honda motor build book showed that stage 1 crower cams with aem adjustable cam gears would give me 15 hp to the crank on a b16 with i/h/e. thats all the hp im looking for. that should total around 185 190 hp. ive already lost the power steering and a/c. dyno tests show almost 10 hp increase just from dropping those. which is alot more than i expected. so ill just get a high flow cat and that should bring me to 200 or so. what u think?
