Default Motor mount/brace grease leak?

Alright i don't really know what this is, it looks to me like a mount/torque absorber for the motor, and mine appears to be leaking some grease.

Its hard to explain and sounds stupid, but i have three pics. If anyone else is seeing this on their car i want to know, otherwise mine is going to the dealer. Also, what causes this? And what is this exactly? Its on the left side of the motor where the pulley system is. Just look at the pics, you will be able to find it on yours.

It looks like its just excess rubber... leftover from the manufacturing process.

I assume its been there since day one but youre just now noticing it. Is it somewhat hardended or can you physically wipe it off?

It hasn't always been there, i have older pics of the engine when I got the car. I just wanted to see if anyone knew about this or if anyone else has had this problem.

I'm taking it in for the oil change in a couple weeks. So I will have them check it out then.

I'd whip it away and check it every time you drive the car. This will hopefully narrow down the leak, if there is one.

Me too, but I'd wipe it instead!... j/k tonster

If you aren't rushing to the dealer to have it looked at, I think tonster has a good idea. Maybe grease, road-grime, could be all kinds of stuff.... see how quick it comes back and where from FTW
