Clutch/Shifting Problems when started up
I have a 97 del sol (s i believe), manual, and this all started about two weeks ago after the ice storm when my car got stuck for about a week.
When the car starts up after leaving it sitting over night the clutch doesn't seem to have the pressure it should returning so it doesn't seem to fully return. The engine doesn't hit the normal RPM when starting up. Finally the car wont shift gears when the engine is on. It will shift when the engine is off and start in the correct gear but it wont return to neutral.
If I leave the car on for a while and then turn it off come back about half an hour later the car is fine so I don't know what the hell is going on. I thought perhaps it was the clutch fluid as it was low at the time so I put more in but the problem still continues. Nothing is leaking from the car either.

Its possible you have water in your clutch hydrualic line. So it freezes when its cold out.
I would start by replacing all the fluid in clutch line.
