Default Wet my Distributor

I has my hood up and it started to pour, my dizzy got wet and now it beging to bog whenever I am in 4th and 5th. Now my question is, would the whole distributor itself be damaged or could it just be the cap. Im not a tech on Distributors and I would just like someone to help me out on this.

I've got my distributor wet before and had no issues. are you sure that no water went into your intake manifold.

What would a bad cap look like? it looks fine to me. Its funny though because it is ONLY in 4th and 5th that the bogging occurs

i went through a car wash one time, and i have my hood proped up, it never gave me a problem before, but this last time, ******* car wouldnt start and the fuel pump wouldnt prime, lucky it started and i just kept it running, but fuel pump wouldnt prime., so finally it starting priming again and the car would start, i turned it off, and unplug the plugs to the dizzy and a **** load of water just came out, so be careful, trying changing out the cap and rotor
