use peanut butter
no joke
spread it around and let it soak in then wipe it all off and buff the hood, the natural oils from the peanut butter will soak into the oxidized clear coat and make it shiny new

Peanutbutter is a quick fix. As soon as the peanut oils dry out, the haze will come right back.

Use a good marine polish and marine wax (Meguiar's makes some that are far more cost-effective than 3M). If that doesn't work out for you, you may have to get it re-cleared or re-gelcoated.

It doesn't work. It's a quick fix, like baby oil on trim. It's a show trick ... lasts a couple days at best.

Boat shops might also be willing to give you a new gel coat. I can't give an estimate on a price though.
