i have b16a into 89 crx dx. my check engine light comes on (code 4). car wont go over 3k. exhaust sounds like water is in the pipe AND I'M BLOWING BUBBLES. also my brake lights stay on with key off and the light switch off.

any ideas what could be causing only my brake lights to stay on and car to run crappy? please help

Sounds like you are in limp mode for one reason or another. Code 4 is a CKP Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor). Sounds like your dizzy is bad.

Are you shooting coolant out your exhaust?

 

For the brake light check the top of the pedal and see if the little plastic button thing didn't come out, or check and see if the brake light switch might not need to be adjusted.

 

how would i adjust my brake switch? i guess i should check my coolant level, but i didnt see anything shooting out.
