Hi I was wondering is it worth it to do a street tune (crome) if I only have aem sri, aem pulleys, catback exhaust, skunk 2 intake manifold, 421 header ?

 

you can definitely go in for a street tune, and make some power while you're at it.

however, i'd highly suggest getting a cam before doing so. the hp gains will be much more worth it if you picked one up, and got a tune later on.

 

What cam do you suggest getting ? I have a b16a3 motor in my del sol vtec.

 

i personally have ran the skunk2 stage1 on my b18c gsr, and loved every minute of it. didn't even have it tuned, but there was a noticeable difference in the mid and high rpm ranges. idle stayed perfectly fine as well.

pulled those out for some buddy club spec 3+ (their stage 1 cam), but didn't get the idle running too well and eventually got rid of the car.

people who have the full list of bolt ons + stage 1 cams have been known to pick up 10whp from just the tune. im sure many will agree cams are next on your list

 

So if I get skunk 2 stage 1 cams it will idle like stock ? any neg effects by doing this ? and I can run it without a tune right ? (to drive to the tune shop)
