integra a good autocrosser?
I think this is more or less my opinion, but i feel w/ the right engine modifications, weight reduction, and the right suspension modifications its a perfect car. Do not get me wrong, the CRXs and Civics are alot lighter and smaller but, the DA integra (2 and 4 door) handle alot better due to the amount of weight it has to lug around. Now for instants, my DA 92 Integra IS set-up for autocrossing. The key is to lighten the chassis to its fullest. My Da has the A/C deleted, the power steering deleted and a 91' CRX Si manual rack replacing the P/S rack, all cruise control, Every A/C component down to the condenser under the dash, floor insulation removed, all trunk assesorys and so on. Basically anything that remove weight of the chassis of that car. Mines about as light as a 92-95 civic coupe DX
(2282lbs.) The DAs suspension is another issue because of the soft stock settings. If you add good shocks/spring, camber kit, poly urethane bushings, sway bars, and good strut braces, that car will handle very well especially with a manual rack. But then again opinions are like ********, everyone has one!
