You also could just use regular engine oil 10w-30w. Ive used it in both my GSRs. I dont know where you could get any of the other Oils but your GSR tranny holds about 2.2 quarts. Just fill it till it starts to come back out of the fill hole.

I believe that you have to get the GM Synchromesh from a GM dealer, just like you would get the Honda MTF at a Honda dealer.
The manuals, (for most hondas, if not all), say to use 10w30 or honda MTF.
Many people use GM Synchromesh as a band-aid type fix for worn synchros.

They are both about tranny fluids.

If Honda Manual Transmission Fluid is not available, you may use an API service SG, SH, or SJ grade oil with viscosity of SAE 10w-30 or 10w-40 as a temporary replacement. However, motor oil does not contain the proper additives and continued use can cause stiffer shifting.

Youve got to be kidding me. You have over 2000 post....SEARCH. Fluid topics have been BEATEN TO DEATH. Every fuking day there is another fluid thread. If you have a grind use the syncromesh....if you want to mix it with regular 10w30/10w40 that is fine. If you want to mix it with honda MTF that is also fine. If you dont have anygrinds, i would just put in 10w30, 10w40, or honda MTF. THEY WILL ALL WORK. This isnt rocket scientist. I use 10w30 oil and i have no fluid related problems.

guilty as charged i use syncromesh as a bandaid for my worn syncros but it works great my tranny feels awsome. I have friends that use is in there cars to and say it works awsome.
for syncromesh
for syncromesh
i wound't bother using the gm or gm with friction modifier. it's like 10.00+ a quart and i found that not all gm dealers have it instock. don't get me wrong it works wonders if you have a mild case of grinding syncros. this is coming from someone who used it, but if your tranny peforms perfectly fine i would stick with hond mtf, and if that's not available 10w30 works to.

so i removed the old oil and it was still good, it was not black or anything and the draing plug was clean, no metal dust at all.
i went with the GM synchromesh friction modified....i was expecting more but i guess im satisfied, no 3rd gear grind anymore
shifting is still alittle hard, i though it was going be like when the car is off and you play with the gears, like that soft...but whatever
are you supposed to feel the difference right away?...or do you have to wait a couple miles?...
