interchangeable distributor, alternator and intake manifold? d16a1, zc, all other d-series
I have a low mileage d16a1 in my possesion. I will be removing some parts and selling the block.
What parts can be usefull to me (D16a6)?
Also what parts out of this engine can be used for zc applications?
is the distributor interchangeable with zc's? I know it is not with a6.
is the alternator interchangeable with zc's and other d-series engines?
Intake manifold?
Any other usefull parts?

Alternator should be. Dist should be if it's a TD-03U. I don't think the IM will be useful (check the stamping on it, if it's PM7 you can use for a DOHC ZC as well). CPS will be interchangeable with a DOHC ZC as well.
Distributor is not interchangeable because it does not have the cylinder sensor inside because its on the intake cam, the IM will not line up correctly, but almost everything else should work…pistons are higher compression so you could put them in your a6 for a little more power
a lot depends on what year the D16A1 is - 86-87 is not the same as 88-89 - almost nothing from the 86-87 will work on other engines - 88-89 D16A1 throttle body is the same as the D16A6 as is the EACV - 86-87 pistons are basically flat tops (have a slight dome)
