I tried searching and the list was endless and read thru numerous threads just wanna make sure thanx for any help....

95 honda civic ex (CAI and exhaust and muffler is all) Coming home from work last night and bout after a half a mile driving I was at a stop light. Car is in 1st gear and all the lights just like blinked and the car turned off. I tried restating it and it would crank and turn over but would not start.. After a couple more tries I gave it up and had it towed. Lights and radio were still functioning properly... Troubleshooting will start tommorow.. Just wanted a starting point.. (I also noticed in the past couple of weeks the RPMs would fluctuate just a little bit at stoplights, this didnt happen before and also one of my belts was squeeling a bit too.) My guess is start with the alternator..... Again thanks for any help.. Ill keep you informed..

 

how fast did it turn over?

 

It turned over like normal but it just kept cranking would not start. I tried it several times for like 10 seconds .. thanx

 

hmmm i doubt is ur alternator because if it was ur car would be dead and u would not be able 2 crank it unless with a jump start

 

Well the battery eventually died after trying to turn it on several times....
