Description – $5500 – 1993 Honda civic Ex. 112,000 miles. I purchased it while I was in high school, had have been working on it here and there. March of 2006 I swapped in the fully built engine. There was nothing wrong with the old engine; I just wanted to extract some more power. I installed the engine, but never increased the boost (now set to 8psi) which is extremely safe. The maximum power with a good tune, from this turbo kit will produce around 300hp. However, with a larger turbo and a better fuel management (Hondata, Crome, Neptune) this will easily and safely achieve 400+ whp. I always changed the oil every 3000-3500 miles. The time and effort has run out of me, and I’m getting more interested in motorcycles. My loss is your highly achievable gain.
Problems – There are few minor problems which this. As I stated, all my enthusiasm for this car has been lost. 1. The Car will need body work done if you want it to be perfect, however I wanted it for a race car, so I wasn’t too picky. 2. Right side window falls off track when you put it down ( must re-adjust track, I never had a passenger seat installed, I liked to keep the weight down, however it will come installed with one) 3. The car does not have a catalytic converter installed. 4. Starts rough for the first 5 seconds of ignition, once it warms up, purrs like a kitten. (Needs a real fuel management to fix)
