Default Transmisson question

Just curious Does any one out there know how much 95 ls hydraulic transmission weights. Did a lil searching around and couldn't find it. I need to find the weight so i can send the shipping money to the person shipping me my transmission. I would go to ups store my self and weigh it but can get into the garage where i am working on my car at the moment . So if anyone could help i would much appercaite it or know anywhere i can find it. Thanks.

Even if we do supply you with the exact weight of the transmission, the method in which it is packaged will only add to that amount.

Friends of mine that have shipped transmissions have had to put it on a pallet and ship it truck freight because of the weight. I believe UPS has a weight limit of 80lbs. (not 100% sure on that).

If someone is shipping you a transmission, then they should weight it and give you the amount you owe.

Yes i agree . I shipped the bottom end of my motor through ups and it was damn heavy didn't have a problem so i think they would do it. I of course was planning on adding 10-20 pounds for the packaging . He just told me to get the weight so i when i send the money order i can sent the shippig cost with the cost of the transmission.

The way i sent the bottom end was got two double ply boxes for tv..put one in each ... then lined the bottom sides and top with fome. put the bottom end in. Then pack it with tons fome. Covered it made sure to use tons of tape on corners and top and it was good. That is exactly how laskey racing even sent it back.

I just had a 90 LS tranny shipped to me. The seller paid the shipping so I don't know the amount. I do know the weight of the entire package was 97 lbs shipped in a box via UPS. Hope that helps.

It's in the 90-100 pound area, depending on how well the fluid was drained and how it's packaged.

Post office will only do 70 pounds.
UPS will do this weight with no problem.
I've sold several trannys and engine blocks and shipped UPS.
I had one guy doing a double take at UPS. I shipped 2 Neon blocks same exact time of day, 2 days in a row to the same state.
