Default o no, the block and crank are BAD! plz advise me....poor single

ya so i got a block d16z6, and a crank that are both bad...

the crank got 2 hot
#1 cylinder has a bad gouge in it...

i COULD bore n re-grind the crank (250)
or
get another stock block and crank (if i do this wut crank, wut block 2 get (ill get the new block n crank re-surfaced in n out))

i have a fully built Y8 head thats been resurfaced

OR
buy sleeves n get my guy to install them..?? (thats so much $ n im not done building yet)

n finally my pistons are eaten up
they are JE 75mm pistons but they have the old design to them....n everybody knows that the old design crumble and such....
they arnt terrible but a lil bad around the edges

so if i get new pistons

wut company do i get? or do i just keep my pistons i got now?

I never heard anything about old model je pistons but if they're starting to fall apart I wouldn't reuse them.
