ive been surfin the net for a wiring diagram or wire chart to help show me what color wires are for what. im doing a b18a1 obdo swap into my 88 crx. please help. thanks tons.

i need this info asap because im gonna be workin on it around 3pm (midwest time) today (friday). and if i dont get info. i wont be able to get it done today. and that would make me sad. lmao.

here's a pic of the dizzy plugs not lining up. they are different. either that or im losing my mind. lol.

here are the other two that i dont have plugs for. the 88 crx si engine harness doesnt have these. which i find awkward.

dpfi to mpfi is easy. i know u guys didnt mean anything mean, but for everyone else, please dont act like smart asses. thats y i dont like to post on here much. people tend to get cocky. most of u guys tend to think just cuz ima gurl that i dont know ****. lol. anywho..

im doin a LS swap in my 88 crx si but the 88 si harnesses arent plug n play. only 89-91 si harnesses are. therefore i need to add a few wires. so i need to know what each color is. most likely it would tell me this in a teg manual. but when i glanced at my manual they didnt include the dizzy wires. and thats what i really need. along with a few other missing plugs. i dont really know what they are for, but i know that if i had a wire chart or some kind of diagram i could figure it out.

thanx tons.

and i checked the faq, but all they have is the obd1 LS swap. is it the same wiring as the obdo? cuz mine in the obdo LS. jw. could it be the same as a b16 wiring chart (besides the whole vtec thing) ???

this is all i found. but its for a b16 into a crx i believe. let me know is this will work as long as i ignore the vtec wiring. cuz of course i dont have vtec. lmao. but see... it says obd1 to obdo. is that ok?

haha i was going to be an *** and say something but i decided to be nice.

HondaHeddie: why do you keep posting links about obd0-obd1 conversions? shes putting a obd0 engine in her obd0 car... unless im mistaken by what you posted.

Hi-Tech Honda Girl: im not familiar with b18 engines.. well B series engines in general. but i didnt know the 88 harness was any different from 89-91 hanress's. are you sure about that? i would think as long as your crx is an SI it should be plug and play.

thanks for the comment about my sedan.. too bad it only looks good in tiny pictures like that lol
sorry for the thread jack but this is my car. it needs paint and its a little rusty.

yea... dizzy wires for an obdo LS teg. i got a b18a1 obdo that im swappin in my rex. it would be nice to have like the whole ecu wire chart tho... because the 88 crx harness is like two plugs short of what the LS needs. and the dizzy plugs dont match up. the crx harness has 6 dizzy wires and the LS needs 7.

maybe buying a 90-91 harness would be easier. know anyone selling one?

well it's a lot easier to look at it, but i'll shoot this real quick before I go, just in case.

Blue, is tach

white is from ecu to igniter

black/yellow is from ign switch

white/blue and orange blue is TDC sensor

white and orange is crank sensor

blue/yellow and blue/green is cyl sensor input

I know that don't make much sence without looking at it, but it may help. Have a good weekend

thanks for the compliments about my sedan.. it looks alright in that picture because the bottom was just painted(not by me) so it covered the rusty runs. i still want to know what these two extra wires are for.. because i always thought all the 88-91 si harness's were the same. so the extra wires are for the distributor.. im really truely interested in know what these wires are.. if you could, get a haynes manual for the car that has the b18 in it. usually they have wire diagrams in them, i think. i know garages have wiring diagrams in their computers because i got one for civic si for my mpfi swap.

saw your myspace and your website ,your rex looks hot aswell. b18 will be nice for sure.

Jackie, thats a dpfi engine harness... that or someone did a dohc zc at one point. If the 2nd is true, there should be the crank sensor wires extended over by the exhaust cam. Bring the wires back to the dizzy plug, and match up the colors

2nd pic... the one that has the round 2 pin is fine, you dont need that, the ecu wont look for it, the green 2 prong one is the fan switch, and should be on your hanress, its 1 black, and 1 yel/green. polarity dosent matter

I love how when a girl posts, all of H-T is super helpful and polite like it was a couple years ago, but when a guy posts, it's all "SEARCH" "******* noob" OMGCRXFTWBBQNAWZ!"
