Definitely get a P28 ecu. Crome at a minimum. Neptune and Hondata are preferred. What are your goals/plans for your Lude?

JDM P13 w/Spoon chip works fine too. Got mine tuned w/VAFC for VTEC to kick in around 4850-4900 RPMs, no speed limiter anymore!

118 trap speed in the 1/4 at the track must be a pretty decent build ( I only am assuming its 1/4 mile I don't know to much about auto X but I dont think they get to speeds over 120 but I could be wrong )

Actually you want a P72 so the secondary butterlies still work if your using a stock intake manifold.

If your on a budget then chips can work somewhat decent provided you have a good tuner. But I would reccomend you just save and get a management system (hondata) or a OBD1 P13 if your worried about the 118 MPH cut off

A P28 with an RPM activated switch would be cheaper and work just as well.

I think he meant to use a USDM P13 to get rid of the limiter...but for the money, you get a noticable increase, or spend twice as much on Hondata (as I probably soon will) if you track it.

Only Jdm ecu's have a speed govenor, usdm ecu's do not. If u dont want a speed govenor get a usdm p13, or a diff usdm ecu and get it chipped.

The P28 is from the 92-95 Civic Ex/Si. You would need to get it burned with the H22 basemaps and then go from there.

this is not the classifieds and i don't think anyone in the right mind would pay 475 for an ecu that you can't even tune

no 2 cars are alike, well for the most part, just because it's been tuned once for one car doesn't mean you'll get gains for it on a different build. 900 is a load of doo doo. You could get a nice fully tuneable setup for about that much.

P72 and P28's are available in obd1 applications.

Go with Hondata Chips are a gimmick and a waste of money.

why are they a waste
is because you got
pay some one to install it
or is easy to install
i know they can never be as good
as Hondata, aem, and etc
what if you just want your vtec to kick in sooner
and get rid of the cut off
for $14 it not bad from my eyes
but what is the real con about it
but could go wrong
