Default ((MY SPEEDOMETER CABLE BROKE))

i took out the cluster and i guess i broke the cable in the back
so now my car flashes a 17....
my vtec isnt workin now........i found in another website that if the cable breaks theres like a sensor that kinda works w/ the vtec engagement.......is that true? if my speedo cable breaks the vtec aint gonna kick in ?

Yes, it's true. If your ECU isn't getting a speed signal vtec doesn't work.

yes i alos was happy to have it out then snap and ohh ****. just took one off my parts car and fixed it on the spot not that hard to fix took maybe a hour maybe.

you probably just pulled the cable out of the clip, you can reinstall it easy, next time disconnect the cable from the tranny, so you can pull the cable farther into the cabin when you remove the cluster.

yea actually the cable jus ripped off the clip behind the cluster........hmmm??? so u can fix it.....ok ill do that then ..............thanks guys......
