Default Autocross tire suggestions

I have been to a few autocross events with my Del Sol, and it seems like something I'm going to stick with, I picked up a set of koni/GC's(300 all the way around) I'm driving a Del Sol VTEC, so I have the 14mm sway bar. that is about it for suspension. I drive on 195/60/14 Azenis RT-615's. I was wondering would it be better to put a tire on the rear that does not stick as well so that I would produce oversteer. Also does anyone have any experience with the Skunk 2 rear lower tie bar, I was thinking about picking one of those up.

Just try to stick to the stickiest tires you have. To change your handling modify other aspects (spring rate, sway bar, etc.)

Just remember that that can also be your downfall.

Slow down a bit coming into a corner and you wont understeer as bad. Too much oversteer can also make you take out a timing box or even wrecking your car.

Well I wanted to get a few bars because I hear they help. I have heard that strut bars help out but the ebay ones suck and aren't worth getting anyone know any brands that will be good but won't cost me more than the car did. Also is it worth it to get a lower tie bar?

easiest thing would be to up the rear spring rate a little. maybe take out some negative camber in the rear of the car.

don't use different brands of tire. but you could go with a smaller size in the back.
quite a few people i know run 225/45/15 up front and 205/50/15 in the back (r comps though) on their civics and integras

I do that ^.
I wouldn't recommend trying to use different brand/compound tires front to rear to get oversteer. There are lots of things you can do with tire pressures, alignment, and suspension setting to tweak your oversteer/understeer tendency, not to mention changing your driving inputs.

yah. it can help

i ran 225's all the way around last season cause my car had so much off throttle oversteer. me thinks i went a little too crazy on my modifications in adding adjustment plate to the sway bar. i thought with the longer wheelbase of my 4 door i would need it. but even at the softest setting on my modded ITR bar it still rotates like crazy. and that is barely stiffer then where the stock ITR bar would be at.

On my new car this season i might try the staggered setup out.
i'll be interested to see what stagger people in SM run this year with the 275/35/15. i'd think 275's in the rear would be overkill, not to mention MORE total $$$$$

Personally I don't feel the car needs different sized tires. There are plenty of other ways to get the rear end set up for loose. If that's what you want.

Don't hold back any of those secrets I want everyone to chime in with what they believe works.

Best thing is to do a search. Seriously.
Rear sway bar, smaller front sway bar, more rear spring rate than the front..etc.
