Wheel Size?

Wheel Size?
Im thinking abouto purchasing some Emotion XD9 wheels. The only thing is that these wheels arent made in a 16" size. Would 17" still ride good? I need some opinions please. Also what would be a good size tire to run? Pics would help...

17 inch wheels will rob your engine of horsepower.. 16s are a good medium .However if you have bolt-on mods like me, don't worry about it.

Can you explain to me how 17" wheels rob your engine of horsepower? Or how any of what you said made any sense in any way, shape, or form?
@ OP:
I wouldn't go any higher than a 16's. 15's are good (and cheaper). 17" + only look good if you're making your car more of "a looker" opposed to a power house. I mean obviously a power house can rock 17's as well but they're more of a "bling bling" factor more than anything else. I personally don't think 17+ look good on a civic. Stay with 15's and 16's and it'll look good.
If I were you though I'd look at the total tire diameter equation.
I think it's as follows:

Tire width (mm) = TW (195/60R-15
Aspect ratio (% (50 = .5, 34 = .34, etc.)) = AR (195/60R-15
Rim Diameter (in) = RD (195/60R-15
((TW * AR)/25.4)*2 + RD
That gives you the total diameter of the tire in inches.
Somebody please let me know if I messed up part of that - TIA.

Just might wanna try to keep the total diameter of the tire the same (or close) as the stock rim/tire's total diameter that came on the car so your speedometer remains the same. Just a thought.

Yeah, I specifically want 16" wheels. Im having a hard time trying to find something nice. Im very picky. And the Work Emtion XD9's caught my eye, but they only come in 17-18". SUCKS!
