I NEED HELP!!! Are you the one?
Hi, I locked my keys in my 1998 Honda Prelude and don't have roadside assistance on the vehicle. I have another remote for the door but the battery is dead so i have to do it manually. It has remote start so the extra key I have is actually in the vehicle in a box under the dash somewhere. So, is there a trick to using this slim jim? or is there another method of opening the lock without calling somebody to pop the lock, I'm kinda broke right now.

Battery is the cheapest and safest way to do it without breaking anything...

I don't suppose that you have the little key placard with your keys number on it? If you can find it just take it to a dealership and have them make you one.
I have all those papers...they are in the car
Is there a way to pop the hood without a key? so I can just connect a jumpbox to my car and use my other remote? Would be awesome if somebody knew how, and thanx to those who responded so far.

Yup car thieves do it all the time by cutting the release cable, again you probably dont want to do this to Your car...

YES! I AM THE ONE!:
jokes aside, you can steal your own car. get a jimmy tool, and work some magic.
just unlock the car, alarm goes off, get inside, disarm it, boom.
i had to break into my friend's car a couple times because they are dimwits who left their keys inside

just so some of those previous people understand a little more clearly...it's not the remote battery that's dead, it's the car battery. When i push the button, it doesn't have power to unlock...i'm not so stupid and cheap to start a thread because of a dead remote battery, but I shoulda been more clear
Ok, I'm gonna ask one question, very simple...
If I have a Slim Jim and a 1998 Honda Prelude, where exactly do I stick it in and what angle to find the lock to pop?
I would truly appreciate any feedback.
and the flathead+coathanger guy, what do I do with these tools?
Thanx in advance
