i just got my steering wheel in the mall today. two things i have noticed, that the plastic boot is not nearly long enough. number two when i got the wheel it had a rubber seal/ring on the back side of it. so i take it the seal is suppose to rest into the noches in the hub, and then the wheel is suppose to be screwed into the hub... but i can still see threads.

 

What plastic boot? What wheel did you get?

 

it's the plastic ridged boot that hides the steering col, and the hub...

 

I dont call that a boot, thats a cover. Put ducktape around, easy fix

Seriously though alot of people get hub adaptors depending on the wheel and that fits everything nicely.

 

maybe it's because i am using the 94+ integra dash in my eg hatch...

 

also is the rubber seal/gasket required for installment of the steering wheel? because I would think it gets in the way of all the screws clamping down to the hub adapter. i've seen momo steering wheel setups with out the rubber gasket/ring deal... yeah i also have the black plastic boot behind the steering wheel, nice and snug. but shows 1 inch of the steering colum. whats the deal with that i will show pics as soon, as i get home.
