What to do a D-15 SOHC VTEC
I am looking to get a EG Hatch but I can only drive automatic so what swaps are there for the car I heard that the only one is a D-15 SOHC VETC. If so what is the difference in power compared to the factory motor in the car other than the VTEC. I know that it makes 130hp and 106ft what do the model of EG Hatch's make in horse power.
I'm not big on knowing the total difference but I believe that's only 130 HP at the motor, not even at the wheels but don't quote me on that, I could be wrong. Either way, I'm not raggin on you because you can only drive an automatic..that's cool whatever but in my personal opinion it's really not worth getting into a motor swaps and performance parts and all that when it's an auto. Most of your power gains will be lost through the torque converter and such. I would stick with some nice cosmetic mods such as a lip and do some suspension work and just be happy with a good looking daily driver.
ive had those motors swapped in 2 of my hatches and u certainly feel the difference. i ran a chipped p28 ecu with my and was happy with my daily driver. well u can swap any motor u want not just the d15 as long as u have an auto tranny... but in my eyes waste of time! just stick to cosmetics and leave it stock if its auto. its not hard at all to drive stick.... dont be scurrrdddd!!!!

Learning to drive stick is mad easy. I learned the basics in about an hour. And afterwards jus practice shifting and 1st gear in an empty lot. Then all you gotta do is master hills and you're good.
