Default have a state inspection tomorrow need help

anyways wondering a couple things, about inspection, car was stolen and primered, so its considered totaled from the state

i removed primer with laquer thinner so thats fine now but....

-car has a jdm steering wheel w/ no airbag on it looks stock and has the "H" , just no srs

-car has no cat on it but does not smoke at all, has a new ls engine with paperwork, and a silencer

-tires are getting low in front

will any of these be problems??

Well it could be different for you but here, I guess the first point to make is that they'll pass inspection even with an aftermarket exhaust/steering wheel (mind you we don't have emissions) However, if the car is considered totalled..is this an inspection to make it legal again or is this just a regular everyday inspection. I imagine they will be a LOT harder on you if this is to make it road legal again, I know they are here. Make sure you're tires are up to pressure and tread...I don't see them really looking into the SRS big time just because if it looks stock who's to say it doesn't have one in there...good luck though.

If all your major components are in working order ex..RCW 46.80.010 (5) defines major component parts to include at least each of the following: 1) Engines and short blocks, 2) Frame, 3) Transmission and/or transfer case, 4) Cab, 5) Door, 6) Front or rear differential, 7) Front or rear clip, 8) Quarter panel, 9) Truck bed or box, 10) Seat, 11) Hood, 12) Bumper, 13) Fender, and 14) Airbag. You should be good to go.

I would be concerned with the airbag the most, but if u have your SRS light off and it looks OEM you should be alright. Ive talked to a few close cops here about it and they said if it works properly then its fine, but just look out for insurance if you ever get in an accident.

Mainly if you have your saftey stuff working and all the major stuff you should be good
Other then that i would throw on at least a gutted cat to make it "look" like you have one.

what kind o ecu are you running? there going to smog the car so if it doesn't pass your screwed. Im not sure how it is i PA but in CA if your not running a cat i wouldn't even go untill i get that fixed. As for the steering wheel i think you should be okay. Make sure everything is connected. I'd reset your ecu before you go. Reset it today and driver around a little...then tomorrow once you drive there your car should run a little better. Remember to baby the car after you reset the ecu.

Yea here in PA where I am, the anus of PA, Fayette County...there are no emissions soooo a personal owner of a car can remove the cat no problem..no one cares...it's just a business cannot remove them. And even then there's backwoods guys around that will inspect your vehicle if it's a damn canoe with a gocart motor in it and 4 wheels JB welded onto it. So...move here and you'll be good.

If the bottom of your rim is higher then the lowest part of the chassi/wheel well its illegal.

Ex. You can lower your car up to the bottom red line, anything above that is illegal in washington. RCW 46.61.680
